“Cat disease to human ; rabies , ringworms and more”.

  As a cat’s owner, it is essential to be aware of the disease that cats transmit to humans. Cats can bring joy, happiness, and companionship, but they can also carry are very harmful Cat disease to human body. As pet owners of a family, we know about the diseases that cats transmit to humans, and these types of diseases that carry to human are called zoonotic diseases. There are some disease that causes cats to become human.

Cat disease to human are :

1.Rabies

Rabies is a prevalent disease that transmits from cats to human. It occurs when infected cats scratch or bite humans, although rare in cats. Rabies is a viral disease that affects the nervous system and is also fatal when the symptoms appear. Vaccination is the most effective way to prevent rabies transmission.

2.Ringworm

 Ringworm is a skin disease that transmits from cats to humans. It is a fungal infection affecting skin, hair, and nails.  The disease is called ringworms, but they are not infected worms that cause fungal infections. It is highly contiguous and transmitted through direct contact with an infected cat or contaminated objects. Symptoms include red circular patches in the skin that may be itchy.

3. Cat scratch disease

 Cat scratch disease is infection by the Bartonella henselae bacteria, which are transmitted to the human body to scratch and bite the infected cat so that bacteria can easily transmit to the human body. The symptoms are swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, and fever. This disease is usually mild and can cause more severe symptoms in immunocompromised individuals.

4. Toxoplasmosis

Toxoplasmosis is an infection with a parasite called Toxoplasma gondii. This disease is transmitted to the human body through cat feces, particularly when handling litter boxes or contaminated soil. Many infected persons do not show symptoms and sometimes show flu-like symptoms. Pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals are at higher risk of severe complications from toxoplasmosis.

5.Salmonellosis

 Salmonellosis is an infection with a parasite called  Salmonella bacteria, which can be found in raw or undercooked meat, cat feces, and contaminated surfaces. Cats can carry the salmonella bacteria easily without showing any symptoms, and it tramples the human body through handling and cleaning. Symptoms in the human body are diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever.
